RE:GUARD
Background
Greetings, we are a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) called RE: GUARD, established by students from Korea International School Jeju Campus (KISJ).
Do you know the word, ‘regard’? It means to consider and appraise. Our RE: GUARD was created by combining the ‘guard’, which has the same pronunciation as the gard of Regard, in a different way, which can be interpreted as guarding again or escorting again. Our NGO, RE: GUARD, came up with this name in hopes that the meaning of protecting our planet, which is suffering from pollution caused by humans, would be conveyed to you in a meaningful way. Your awareness of the severe situation of our environment is essential. It is a time when your attention and efforts are needed to protect the dying earth. Thank you.
안녕하세요 여러분, 저희는 Korea International School Jeju Campus (한국 국제학교 제주캠퍼스) 에 재학 중인 학생들이 구성한 비영리(NGO) 단체 RE:GUARD(리가드) 입니다. 영어 regard의 뜻을 아시나요? Regard는 주의하다, 중요시 여기다라는 뜻으로 씌입니다. 우리 RE:GUARD는 Regard의 gard와 발음이 같은 guard를 색다르게 조합하여 창조되었으며, 이는 다시 가드하다 또는 다시 호위하다 등으로 해석 될 수 있습니다. 저희 단체, RE:GUARD는 오염되고 고통받고 있는 우리의 지구를 지켜고자하는 의미가 여러분들에게 뜻깊게 전달되었으면 하여 이 이름을 만들게 되었습니다. 아픈 지구, 우리 모두가 힘을 합쳐 지켜야 할 때입니다. 환경보호를 위해 여러분들의 많은 관심이 필요합니다.

안녕하세요 여러분, 저희는 Korea International School Jeju Campus (한국 국제학교 제주캠퍼스) 에 재학 중인 학생들이 구성한 비영리(NGO) 단체 리가드 입니다. 저희 단체는 현재 환경에 대한 올바른 지식을 전달함으로써 환경을 지키고자 활동을 하려고 합니다. 우리는 크게 비영리단체를 크게 두 분야로 나눴는데, 바로 올바르게 쓰레기 등을 배출을 돕는 팀과, 친환경 제품과 다회용품의 사용을 돕는 팀입니다. 우리는 친환경 제품 팀으로서, 앞으로 친환경 제품 홍보, 다회용품 캠페인, 그린 제품 인스타그램 챌린지, 바자회, 등을 통해서 제주를 더 푸르고 환경친화적으로 변화시키도록 노력하겠습니다. 감사합니다.
Hello everyone, we are RE: GUARD, an NGO formed by students attending KISJ. Our organization is trying to protect the environment by delivering the right knowledge of the current environment. We have largely divided non-profit organizations into two areas: a team that helps to properly discharge waste and a team that helps to use eco-friendly products and multi-use products. As an eco-friendly product team, we will try to make Jeju greener and eco-friendly through the promotion of eco-friendly products, multi-use product campaigns, green product Instagram challenge, bazaar, etc. Thank you.
